Self-Introduction

I’m Pancake, a 2020 grad from a coastal uni. My college dream? Making a game that that mattered. By graduation, all I had was nothing but a rough demo.

Years later, [So Long, My Youth] is here: a photo-based visual novel weaving together memories of college life. Each screenshot is a real photograph, each dialogue line inspired by my lovely friends. Maybe I wasn’t born to make games, but I had to prove this piece of youth mattered.

No flashy underdog stories—just honest snapshots of uni life: morning basketball with bros, heated classroom debates, fantastic beaches, community internships. Boring to some, unforgettable to us. Because youth has always been a little bit random, right?

Over 100 in-game scenes are taken from my original photographs. Behind the simple composition and lighting lies raw emotion—framed to tell a story: black-and-white vignettes (reality) → full-color display (memory) → soft-focus freeze frames (closure).

【✍️ Prose Like Water: Years of Polishing】
The entire script is concise—under 50,000 words—but I obsessed over every line. My goal? To craft prose that’s lean, natural, and as quietly powerful as the sea—words that don’t just tell a story, but leave a mark.
